Who: We are looking for dancers with humility, passion, and strong work ethic. No experience necessary to audition but this event is ONLY open to SERIOUS DANCERS with the intent to audition and join The ORG.

FAQ - ORG Midseason Auditions

Here is a list of frequently asked questions about our midseason auditions and such! Feel free to take a look, and if you see something missing, don’t hesitate to ask us here!

What kind of choreography will be taught?

The choreography will be co-ed, meaning both boys and girls will learn the same routine. However, when the actual audition takes place, we will call up groups of boys and girls.

Will we have time to practice before auditioning?

Yes, we will be giving you about 15-20 minutes before we call up auditionees to perform the routine.

Is there a freestyle? How will it be judged?

Yes, the freestyle will be after you perform the routine and last approximately 10-15 seconds. The Freestyle portion is your opportunity to showcase whatever style that you can bring to the table. It can make or break your audition. If you did really poorly during choreo aspect but you killed your freestyle, it can get you a call back. If you do very well during choreo but do not freestyle, you will not progress the next round of auditions.

Since auditions are right after we learn the piece, how will auditionees be judged?

The judges will of course keep in mind that the auditionees, have just learned the piece. We will be judging on a different criteria then we would a 2 day audition.

Will the choreography be the same on Tuesday as it is on Saturday?

No, we will be teaching different pieces of choreography.

When do we pay?

You may pay the $5 in cash on the day of your audition at registration.

Can we just take the workshop but not audition?

Unfortunately, you cannot. This event is solely for those wishing to join The Organization Dance Team as a member, and have serious intent about auditioning. If you wish to further your training as a dancer and are interested in taking dance classes, we will be holding our next workshop June 2nd, and we will be releasing the ORG Summer Camp line-up in May.

Is there a specific number of people you are accepting, or does it depend on how many people impress?

It really depends on the amount of talent we see. We do have a standard that we want all of our dancers to be at, so we will be enforcing that.

What do you mean by, “dress to impress”?

Thats a good question. When we say dress to impress what we are looking are for nice dance clothes for example a nice pair of sweats/jeans, nice t-shirt, and outerwear. Nothing like semi formal. Basically wear what you see dancers wear in concept videos. Hope that helps.

is it hard to get into ORG? like, when we perform the choreo, are you looking for perfection? or what is it? i really miss dance, and i think ya'll are hella dope & amazing. but im not perfect, yet I am a really good dancer.

It is difficult to get into the ORG especially during Mid Season Auditions because we already have a full team of 38. However if you display dance experience, strong work ethic, and passion you will have a good chance. Also if you audition its a great experience and even if you dont make it this time around you will get an upper hand during our official auditions in September.
